yeah i thought the " scene" sucked. It was everything that became shitty about the Dead scene only COMPLETELY shitty because allmost all there were were lot rats, no history. But the band sure offerred up some impressive playing and damn fine entertainment. No one was else was really doing it.

I enjoyed the shows and had a great time. It was the only thing remotely close to being at a Dead Show that existed and I want to hear some live music. Never did get the lot scene, would visit it but never understood why folks would want to hang out in a parking lot for too long. I know that for some this was a peak experience, (both at Dead and Phish shows) that is sad. Maybe a lot of codependency going on. But I always had a groups of friends to hang out with before shows, wasn't dependent on making friends in the lot to give companionship. I have heard people talk of the lot scene with the same tone of voice and reverence I may have for the mountains or the ocean or great paintings or music. Enjoyed it at times but was often turned off by people's excuses to be idiots. I should mention that I work in the Mental Health field so I have had my fill with wasted drunken people and just don't want to be around that in my free time. Like to party but have had my fill of childish BS.
